City of Centerville <br />EDA Minutes <br /> March 17, 2021 <br /> <br />Executive Director Statz presented check #001002 in the amount of $26.55 made out to Indigo for <br />a new name plate for the dais at City Hall. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Weatherhead, seconded by Commissioner King to approve the <br />check list as presented. A roll call vote was taken. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> 2. Communications <br /> a. None <br /> <br />VI. REPORTS <br /> <br /> 1. Administrator’s Report <br /> <br /> <br />Executive Director Statz presented a graphic from the State of Minnesota detailing who is eligible <br />for a Covid vaccine. <br /> <br />A lot of vendors have signed up for the Main Street Market, but we are still looking for a produce <br />vender. It is a six-week commitment, and no fees. There is a $120.00 deposit for the booth, but it <br />will be refunded in full if you attend all six weeks. <br /> <br />The Fete des Lacs Committee is still moving forward with plans, but they still need volunteers. <br />Lino Lakes has canceled their Blue Heron Days festival. Executive Director Statz stated that he <br />will be attending a virtual conference regarding summer festivals with other city administrators <br />the week of March 22-26 to share ideas. <br /> <br />Spring Clean Up Day is Saturday, April 24, 2021. <br /> <br />Executive Director Statz assisted Jeff Gilmer from Excipio and Jacquel Hajder from Anoka County <br />with a presentation on the tech corridor recently, at a MN Real Estate Journal Event. <br /> <br />Peltier Estates is moving forward with their plan to build 24 detached townhome units. The homes <br />will be sold for $500,000 to $650,000. <br /> <br />Centerville Elementary School will be adding new classrooms and reconstructing their <br />playground. <br /> <br />Block 7 submitted a memorandum of understanding. This is not a binding agreement, it is only a <br />written list of commitments. The initial proposal includes building 12 units facing the Centerville <br />Road and 12 units facing the trail. Further options are being explored, including one that would <br />have no driveways. <br /> <br />Eight businesses in Centerville received funds from the State’s latest Covid relief package that was <br />administered by the County.
