CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />PARKS AND RECREATION COMMITTEE <br />MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City Recreation Committee held a <br />scheduled meeting on June 2, 2021 in the Council Chambers at the Centerville City Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Committee Chairman Kevin Waeghe <br /> Committee Member Chris Bettinger <br /> Committee Member Heidi Errickson-Grahek <br /> Committee Member Kathy Freiermuth <br /> Committee Member Brian Peterson <br /> Committee Member Suzanne Seeley <br /> Committee Member Emem Akpan <br /> <br />Also Present: Mark Statz, City Administrator/Engineer <br /> Michelle Lakso, City Council Liaison <br />___________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> Committee Chair, Kevin Waeghe, called the June 2, 2021 Meeting of the Parks & Recreation Committee <br />to order at 6:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at the Centerville City Hall. <br /> <br />II. APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />There were recording issues and it is unknown the motion makers to Approve the Agenda as presented. <br /> <br />III. APPEARANCES - See V. Unfinished Committee Business: <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />V. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />Coordinator Ms. Angela Conley <br /> <br />Vendors: Ms. Conley reported that she currently has a variety of 12 vendors of food and artisans, <br />including one farmer and would like to add one or two more. Each vendor will be allotted a 16' area <br />with farmers receiving up to 2 16' spaces. <br />Volunteers: There are 3 volunteers for the first shift from 4-6 pm and 3 more volunteers are still needed <br />nd <br />for the 2 shift of from 6-8pm; discussed providing event shirts for the volunteers, possibly bright yellow; <br />there are volunteer application forms on the City website & on FB. <br />Promotion: Promotion/advertising will include press releases and paid advertising; Mr Statz will check <br />on the status of the grant which could be used for advertising & signage plus 6 picnic tables; discussed <br />having a banner in the parade; will request the water ski club to help promote this event; Flyers for this <br />event could be distributed at the Music in the Park events <br />Parking: discussed the logistics of parking for vendors and visitors <br /> <br />
