City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Meeting Minutes <br />May 4, 2021 <br /> <br /> <br />Discussion ensued among the Commission regarding various aspects of the plans and which <br />concept they each preferred. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Twohy, seconded by Commissioner Kuiper to Recommend <br />to Council a hybrid of Concept 2 and Concept 3 with the northern 2 most buildings <br />with no driveways, adding one unit to the middle building, reducing the visitor parking <br />to 6 spaces, allowing for green space and instructing the developer not to use vinyl <br />siding with allowance of later discussion after some fiscal studies are done on this item. <br />A roll-call vote was taken. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />1. Rehbein Commercial – Consideration of Further Public Comment <br /> <br />Administrator Statz provided some background on this item and stated the City Council has <br />th <br />directed him to schedule a new Public Hearing which will be held on May 26 at 5pm prior <br />to the City Council meeting. He noted this item will be on the City Council agenda that <br />evening as well so they can act on any items they feel comfortable doing so at that time. <br /> <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Resignation of Board Member <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated Commissioner Ben Fehrenbacher has submitted his resignation <br />from the Commission. Commissioner Kubat thanked Commissioner Fehrenbacher for all his <br />hard work and dedication to the city; the rest of the Commission echoed his sentiments. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kubat, seconded by Commissioner Twohy to Accept the <br />Resignation of Commissioner Board Member Ben Fehrenbacher and declare an <br />opening on the Planning and Zoning Commission Board. A roll-call vote was taken. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. None. <br /> <br />IX. Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />1. Council Member Liaison <br /> <br />Councilmember Koski stated the aftermath of the Rehbein Commercial hearing at the <br />previous Council meeting was not a reflection of the Commissions work. He stated some of <br />the comments and requests made of the Council and Commission were unfair and noted he <br />would like to educate the public on when the appropriate time is to address concerns and <br />issues regarding city plans within the government process so they can be addressed and heard <br />before it is too late in the process. <br /> <br />X.
