City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 24, 2021 <br /> <br />noted that Ms. Jacquel Hajder, County Economic Development Specialist, has taken another job <br />with a developer. He noted that she has done great work for the City and they will be sad to see <br />her leave. The County has an applicant pool and plans to begin interviewing candidates shortly. <br />He explained that various developments around town are progressing well. <br /> <br />Attorney Glaser gave a brief update on the prosecution functions and explained that they will be <br />going back to having trials in March. He stated that should help them whittle away at the backlog <br />of cases that they have due to the pandemic. <br /> <br />Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Lakso - <br /> <br />i. Anoka County Fire Protection Council – None. <br />ii. Parks & Recreation Committee – None. <br /> <br />b. Koski – <br /> <br />i. Centennial Fire District Steering Committee – Noted that this had been discussed <br />earlier. <br /> <br />Council Member Koski asked if the Peltier Estates Development was the same as what was <br />approved a few years ago. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that it is identical to what was previously approved and is a 24 home, <br />th <br />detached townhome development with a cul-de-sac coming off of 20Avenue and will have an <br />HOA. <br /> <br />i. Planning & Zoning Commission - Council Member Koski stated that the <br />Commission’s next meeting would take place on March 2, 2021. <br /> <br />c. King – <br /> <br />i. Economic Development Authority – Council Member King stated that some of <br />this was covered previously with the EDA fine-tuning priorities to match their <br />budget. He also stated that they are looking into beautification projects for the City. <br /> <br />ii. North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Council Member King stated that the <br />Mayor would provide the update. <br /> <br />d. Mosher – <br /> <br />i. Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher stated that this item was <br />previously discussed. <br />ii. Centennial Lakes Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher stated that there <br />was no meeting but he had recently been to the Police Station and he saw the window film <br />Page 15 of 17 <br /> <br /> <br />
