City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 24, 2021 <br /> <br />that does not allow individuals to see into offices and stated that staff is happy and feeling <br />safe. <br /> <br />e. Love – <br /> <br />i. Centennial Lakes Police Governing Board – Mayor Love stated that there was <br />nothing to report. <br />ii. Centennial Fire District Steering Committee – Mayor Love stated that the items <br />discussed earlier in the Work Session covered the meeting discussions. <br />iii. North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Love stated that the <br />meeting will take place the upcoming evening and reported that the stipends were <br />voted down. <br />iv. Other Mayoral Reports - Mayor Love stated that he will be attending a Violence <br />Prevention Focus Group later in the week. He also stated that Anoka County had <br />identified Relationship Violence Prevention as one (1) of their Public Health goals. <br />He also noted that Administrator Statz had forwarded a flier to Council on the <br />matter. <br /> <br />Mayor Love expressed his appreciation to those on Council that had taken time out of their <br />schedule to pursue education and noted that Council Member Mosher just recently finished the <br />six-week program for newly elected officials through the League of Minnesota Cities. <br /> <br />Mayor Love recessed the Regularly Scheduled Council meeting at 8:30 p.m. <br /> <br />XI. RECESS TO CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />CLOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION (Pursuant to MN Statute Section 13D.05, Subdivision <br />3(b) <br /> <br />Discussion and examination of legal opinion and strategy regarding the properties 2050 and <br />2070 Main Street. Absolute confidentiality is required for a full and candid discussion with <br />Legal Counsel and such discussion could not occur in a public setting without jeopardizing <br />the City’s legal position. <br /> <br />Mayor Love called the Closed Executive Session to order at 8:35 p.m. <br /> <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br /> 1. Roll Call <br /> <br />II.
