(c) Any unlicensed or nonoperational item of outside storage must be stored <br />inside an enclosed structure. <br /> <br />(d) Permitted Items Of Outside Storage. The following items may be stored <br />outside. <br /> <br />a. A maximum of three of the following units may be stored outside <br />of a structure as detailed in 156.144 (M)(1)(a): <br />i. Type One, Type Two, and Type Three passenger vehicles <br />as defined by Minnesota Department of Transportation <br />1 <br />Vehicle Classification Scheme. <br />ii. Type B recreational vehicles or travel trailers as defined by <br />2 <br />Minn. Stat. 168.002. <br />iii. Other vehicles, such as motorcycles, snowmobiles, boats, <br />personal watercraft, personal utility trailer, and fish house; <br />iv. Off-highway vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, side-by-side <br />vehicles, special vehicles, golf carts, and similar items; <br />v. Equipment, such as personal utility trailer trailers, skid <br />steers, and similar; <br />vi. No more than one of the three units allowed by this section <br />may be a Type Class A motor home or a Fifth Wheel <br />recreational vehicle or travel trailers as defined by Minn. <br />Stat. 168.002; <br /> <br />b. General Outside Storage. Clothes lines, antennae, air conditioners, <br />outdoor grills, play equipment, outdoor furniture, ornaments, <br />monuments, and similar items. <br />c. Firewood. The outside storage of firewood shall be no closer than <br />five (5) feet to any property line. Such wood shall be stacked in a <br />neat, orderly, safe manner. The maximum height allowed is four <br />(4) feet. <br /> <br />d. Lakeshore Properties. Parcels abutting lakeshore may store the <br />following items of personal property within fifty (50) feet of the <br />shoreline during the months from September to May: docks, boat <br />lifts, swim rafts, slides, and other swimming equipment. <br />1 <br />SeeattachedVehicleClassificationSchemehandoutfromMNDOT. <br />2 <br />Motorhomesincludea:(1)typeAmotorhome,whichisarawchassisuponwhichisbuilta <br />driver'scompartmentandanentirebodythatprovidestemporarylivingquarters(thesearethe <br />biggestmotorhomes);(2)typeBmotorhome,whichisavanandhasbeencompletedor <br />alteredbyafinalstagemanufacturer(thesearethesmallest);and(3)typeCmotorhome, <br />whichisanincompletevehicleuponwhichispermanentlyattachedtoabodydesignedto <br />providetemporarylivingquarters(thisisamotorhomewiththeboxbuiltbehinda <br />cabwhichlookslikethefrontofavan). <br /> <br />
