City of Centerville <br />Regular Meeting Planning and Zoning Commission <br />August 10, 2021 <br /> <br /> <br />Administrator Statz introduced the item and provided and provided background. He stated <br />he is looking for direction from the Commission on moving forward with the changes <br />proposed in the revision. <br /> <br />There was discussion among the Commissioners regarding the changes proposed. <br />Chairperson Broussard-Vickers asked if they had a consensus on how to proceed this <br />evening and whether they were prepared to make a motion to recommend it to the City <br />Council. Administrator Statz stated that a motion could be made to forward the item to the <br />Council if desired. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Kubat, seconded by Commissioner Olson to recommend that <br />the City Council approve changes to the City Code Revision – Outdoor Storage in <br />Residential Districts with the amendments from the Administrator regarding the <br />location of parking, which is not to be further then in front of the dwelling structure, <br />the line for parking in the driveway should be 10 feet, and any existing vehicles in <br />violation of the new code are to be registered within a six month period of time with <br />registration being valid for one year. All in favor. Motion carried <br /> <br />2. City Code Revision – Home Occupation – Auto Repair <br /> <br />Administrator Statz introduced this item and provided some background on it. He noted they <br />are revisiting this item from over a year ago and are just looking to educate the new <br />Commissioners on the item and determine whether or not to consider any revisions going <br />forward. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated they have not held a public hearing on this item in the past, so <br />they cannot make a motion to change the code until that is completed pending the <br />Commission’s desires. <br /> <br />There was discussion among the Commissioners regarding the proposed changes to the code. <br />Administrator Statz stated he felt that he had enough information to bring the item back to <br />them at a later date and request them to call a public hearing. <br /> <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. City Code Revision – Temporary “Bag” Dumpsters <br /> <br />Administrator Statz introduced this item and provided some background information on it. <br />Discussion ensued and the Commission felt that they needed additional research prior to <br />calling for a public hearing. <br /> <br />VIII.
