<br />City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 9, 2006 <br /> <br />that they have been at this property for 30 years and would have to move if forced to pay <br />this much in assessments. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar noted that there is a large chunk of land owned by Mr. Fruth that <br />can be subdivided. <br /> <br />Mr. Fruth indicated he plans to sell in five years as his retirement funds. <br /> <br />Council Merhber Paar indicated that only the value added to the property can be assessed. <br />He then said that the plan shows that this road will be done in 2009. <br /> <br />Council Member Terway said that Council needs to be careful to be fair to those people <br />in the past that have had these types of proj ects and those that will be assessed in the <br />future on how these projects are handled. <br /> <br />Ms. Melissa Jaques of 7389 Old Mill Road asked how much value would be added to <br />their property because she does not believe that their property would go up $40,000. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that Staff has not had any appraisals done and the <br />figures being discussed were something that Mr. Banzai was attempting to negotiate with <br />the neighbors to bring to Council for consideration. <br /> <br />Ms. Jaques indicated that their property is 200 foot square and their house is in the center <br />of the property making it impossible to subdivide. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that, if this project is not moving forward at this time <br />the assessments and the specifics of the project we should not attempt to decide <br />assessment issues at this time. <br /> <br />Mayor Capra requested another public hearing on this if the plans and specs are going to <br />be ordered or discussed for ordering and asked that residents be notified by letter that this <br />matter is back on Council's Agenda. <br /> <br />Motion bv Council Member Terwav. seconded bv Council Member Paar to Table. <br />All in favor. Motion carried unanimouslv. <br /> <br />4. T-Mobile Request to Amend Agreement for Antennas on Water Tower <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that T-Mobile has said that they will provide the rent <br />guarantees of7 years and an additional termination fee to cover an additional year and for <br />that there is a 9% reduction in the initial lease rate and the escalator is 3% per year and no <br />CPI. He then suggested, based on this email with this language, to refer this to the City <br />Attorney to work out the language on the lease amendment for further consideration. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar said that he would like to finish this and be done. <br /> <br />Page 6 of8 <br /> <br />1 <br />
