City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 28, 2021 <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />1. AdministratorÓs Report <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that his report was contained in the packet and that he would be happy <br />to answer any questions that Council may have. He stated that if individuals needed assistance <br />with rent, they should dial 211 along with landlords. He also stated that he is pleased with the <br />amount of individuals who have registered for email blasts. He stated that the City has signed a <br />Memorandum of Understanding for the development of Block 7 and that Concept Plans would be <br />available at the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting on May 4, 2021. He also stated that the <br />City is in need of farmers for the Main Street Market and that the Music in the Park program has <br />been expended by several weeks. He reviewed with Council that the Fete des Lacs Committee <br />continues to plan and ensure that the events and volunteers will be safe during the event(s). <br /> <br />Council Reports <br />a. Lakso - <br /> <br />i. Parks and Recreation Committee Î No report was given. <br />ii. Centennial Fire District Steering Committee Î No report was given. <br />iii. Anoka County Fire Protection Council Î Council Member Lakso stated that the <br />Council met and discussed budget totals for the upcoming. <br /> <br />b. Koski Î Council Member Koski stated that Music in Park has been a wonderful event and <br />that he appreciated all individuals that participated in the organization of the event. He <br />stated that he hoped that all interested would attend. He stated that he had attended the <br />Centennial Fire District Awards Ceremony and desired to congratulate all folks that <br />received promotions. He also desired to thank that that provide services on the front lines. <br /> <br />i. Planning & Zoning Commission Î Council Member Koski that all that <br />participated in the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting. <br />ii. Centennial Fire District Steering Committee Î Council Member Koski reported <br />that the Fire District recently purchased radios and their next meeting would be <br />held on May 13, 2021. He stated that the Committee was looking at increasing <br />pay for firefighters in an attempt to attract and retain firefighters. <br /> <br />c. King Î Council Member King reported that the EDA Banners look nice and that there was <br />a new Anoka County Regional Economic Coordinator. He stated that she seemed nice and <br />that she may be able to assist us in the future. <br /> <br />d. Mosher Î Council Member Mosher stated that Kwik Trip may draw additional <br />development in the future. <br />i.
