<br />Administrator/EngineerÓs Report <br />November 10, 2021 <br /> <br /> <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Lions Donation <br />The Centerville Lions recently made their annual donation <br />to the CityÓs Parks Department. This yearÓs donation of <br />$500 was targeted for park monument signs. <br /> <br />Movie in the Park <br />The annual Movie in the Park event was presented on <br />September 18 in LaMotte Park and garnered a large turnout. <br />Thanks to everyone who helped make the event a success. <br /> <br />Volunteer Appreciation Event <br />th <br />A Volunteer Appreciation Event was held on October 14 <br />at the Fire Hall, honoring those who helped the city <br />throughout the year, including work with: Fete des Lacs, <br />Adopt-a-Garden, Clean-up Day/Earth Day, Music in the Park, Main Street Market, Skate <br />Nights and more. <br /> <br />If youÓre interested in being a volunteer, please email us at info@centervillemn.com and we <br />will contact you when volunteer opportunities arise. <br /> <br />Skate(board) Park Study <br />The Parks and Recreation <br />Committee wants your input on <br />the skate park. Our facility at <br />LaMotte Park is nearing the end <br />of its useful life and there are <br />important decisions to be made <br />regarding its future. Do we <br />complete some major maintenance on the existing equipment, buy new modular ramps, rails <br />and the like, or make a major investment in a poured concrete facility (see photo above)? Let <br />us know how often you or your kids use the park and offer any other thoughts at: <br />info@centervillemn.com <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION <br />WeÓre Hiring! <br />The city is seeking applications for the new position of Assistant City Administrator. <br />Starting pay ranges from around $54,000 to around $74,000, depending on qualifications. <br />The deadline for applications is November 19. An application packet, including job <br />description can be found on the CityÓs website under the ÐEmployment OpportunitiesÑ. <br /> <br />Meeting and City Hall Schedule <br /> November 11 is Veterans Day. City Hall is Closed <br /> The City Council meeting on November 24 is cancelled (pending Council action) <br /> The City Council meeting on December 22 is cancelled (pending Council action) <br /> <br />
