process\], I will be meeting with each station/group to address their concerns and complete a
number of tasks.
As the months leading up to May 1, 2022 will be extremely busy, the following will be my
priorities during this transition unless otherwise directed by the SBM BOD:

¤ Assist the SBM BOD with organizing a comprehensive transition plan/process
¤ Work with SBM and Centennial Staff to prepare for the transition
¤ Complete the Centennial Strategic Plan and Long Term Capital Plan
¤ Creation of a draft fiscal policy for SBM
¤ Preparation of the FY 2023 budget for SBM
¤ Preparation of a detailed transition guide for new leadership
¤ On-boarding/orientation for the new Chief

During this transition, Deputy Chief Retka will continue to do the fantastic job as he has
always done as well as the other Officers of SBM and CFD to ensure leadership is present
and continuous. This will ensure the collaborative organizational foundation we have built
together remains in place and continues to move in a positive direction.

The CFD is one of the finest organizations I have ever had the honor of leading. It has been
an honor and a privilege to serve with the best and I am deeply humbled to have been blessed
with such a unique opportunity. Thank you for the support you have given and the
opportunity to serve. God bless!!

WeÓre Hiring
The district is looking for paid-on-call firefighters. Find out more at www.centennialfire.org
Centennial Lakes Police Department
Holiday Community Outreach Efforts
Not to be outdone by their firefighting, Santa-
parade-holding counterparts, the officers at
CLPD got involved in spreading some holiday
good will as well. Officers went on a
shopping spree for the Heroes and Helpers
organization while others delivered food and
toys to local families who needed a little
boost.

Reserve Officer Positions
The Centennial Lakes Police Department has had a
successful program of reserve officers. These employees
allow our department to ramp up in times of need without
the expense of a full-time employee. Our reserve officers
plan an important role in keeping our city safe. If you
know anyone interested in joining the force, please
contact CLPD during normal business hours.
