City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 9, 2021 <br /> <br />i. Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski stated that a preliminary <br />contract with SMB Fire Department to complete administrative duties has been <br />completed. This would create major change for public safety. This would also help <br />with having a Fire Chief. Next step would be to approve the contract. <br />ii. Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski gave an overview of <br />a proposed project involving trucking company based out of Wisconsin who desired <br />to construct a warehouse, office, and store freight trailers which would include 15 <br />tractor trailers and 8 straight trucks. Freight would be inbound and outbound. The <br />building is currently slated to be 50,000 square feet with a possible 25,000 square <br />foot expansion. The Commission had concerns for traffic flow. There would be <br />roughly 20 in and 20 out shipments a day. Mostly local delivery type materials, <br />which means new jobs. The only service would consist of simple oil and tire <br />changes on site. <br /> <br />c. King – <br /> <br />i. Economic Development Authority – No report was given. <br /> <br />d. Love – <br /> <br /> North Metro Telecommunications Commission – No report was given. <br /> Police Governing Board – No report was given. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – As reported by Council Member Koski <br /> Other Mayor Reports – Mayor Love stated that there are openings on the Parks <br />& Recreation Committee and the Planning & Zoning Commission. The City is also <br />looking for volunteers Fete des Lacs, which would be a one-day commitment. <br />Music in the Park kicks off June 15, 2021 and the Waterski Show kickoff will be <br />in conjunction with our new Main Street Market. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser stated it feels good to be back and see everyone. <br /> <br />XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member Koski to Adjourn the <br />Regularly Scheduled Meeting of Council at 7:45 p.m. All in favor.
