City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes & Closed Exec. <br />August 11, 2021 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Love, Council Members Lakso and Mosher voted in favor. Council Members King <br />and Koski opposed. (3/2) Motion carried. <br /> <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Peterson Shores <br />a. Final Plat <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that this is a fairly straightforward plat as it is splitting a larger lot into <br />two (2) parcels for construction of two (2) homes. He stated there was no roads, a Developer’s <br />Agreement would not be needed, but associated fees (Park Dedication and Storm Water Access) <br />would need to be obtained from the developer (Mr. Peterson). <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to Approve the Final <br />Plat for Peterson Shores with Authorization to Record the Plat Contingent Upon Payment <br />of Applicable Fees. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Ord. #XXX, Second Series Amending Ord. #111, Second Series Fee Schedule <br />for 2021 (First Reading) <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that this was the first reading, the amendments to the Fee Schedule were <br />outlined in the Council packet. <br /> <br />Mayor Love explained that it was standard practice to have two (2) readings of an ordinance <br />amendment. Council Member Lakso requested that a review of the format be given as she felt it <br />was difficult to read. Council Member Koski felt that with two (2) readings it was fostering more <br />opportunities for the public to become engaged. <br /> <br />No motion was needed at this time. <br /> <br /> 3. Res. #21-0XX Calling for a Public Hearing to Vacate Easements <br /> <br />Administrator stated that the Council has considered a Preliminary Plat for Sutton Transport. He <br />stated that there were several easements associated with the Fairview cul de sac that needed to be <br />vacated. Attorney Glaser stated that the impact is only to Rehbein Properties (owners on properties <br />abutting the cul de sac. Attorney Glaser stated that the amount of easement is small but the City <br />is giving up their rights and the Public Hearing was required. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding public education, social media avenues and property returning to the <br />owner upon vacation. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Adopt Res. #21- <br />009 – Calling Public Hearing for Vacating a Roadway Easement.
