City of Centerville Parks and Recreation Meeting Minutes February 2, 2022 who do not attend either the Centerville Elementary or Middle schools and discussions with Mr. Branch for his input on future procedures associated with the program. Motion made by Committee Member Seeley, seconded by Committee Member Freiermuth to recommend to the City Council allocation of a total of $350 for award funding for the winners (3 from each school) for the 2022 Logo Contest. (Two first place of $100, two second place of $50 and two honorable mentions of $25). All in favor. Motion carried. 1. Request for Use of Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park, Medallion Hunt Î Centerville Elementary School Motion made by Committee Member Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member Seeley to approve the request of Centerville Elementary use of either Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park or Hidden Spring Park for a Medallion Hunt beginning February 4, 2022 until the medallion is found. All in favor. Motion carried. Staff informed the Committee that both the Centennial Lakes Police Department and Centennial Fire District have been advised of this request along with the Public Works Department. VII. APPROVAL OF JANUARY 5, 2022 P & R COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Motion made by Committee Member Errickson-Grahek, seconded by Committee Member Akpan to approve the minutes of the January 5, 2022 meeting with the following corrections: delete ÐpÑ from space between ÐI.Ñ and ÐChairpersonÑ; V. Unfinished Business, #3. 5th sentence: change ÐwereÑ to ÐwhereÑ; VI. New Business #1. 6th sentence of motion: delete the word ÐbeÑ; VIII. Updates #2: add: Ðthey willÑ between time and discuss. All in favor. Motion carried. VIII. UPDATES 1. Staff Updates: Administrator Statz Administrator Statz provided his written AdministratorÓs Report in the packet for Committee review. 2. Council Liaison Update Î Council Member Lakso Council Member Lakso stated that the CouncilÓs scheduled Retreat/Goal Setting Session had been cancelled due to COVID and that it would be reschedule for a date in March. 3. Main Street Market Update Staff has completed the Rules & Regulations and Vendor Registration forms for 2022. Staff reported that past vendors were provided with two (2) weeks advance notice prior to posting to the public on the CityÓs website. It was also stated that the information would be posted on the Main Street Market Facebook page and the CityÓs social media outlets. Staff informed the Committee that four (4) vendors were currently registered. Staff reported that a grant was again available if vendors of fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, maple syrup, eggs, etc. were included. Page 3 of 5
