<br />Approved <br />CITY OF CENTERVILLE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION & MEETING MINUTES <br />January 26, 2022 <br />5:00/6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the City of Centerville held their regularly scheduled City <br />Council Meeting on January 26, 2022 via Zoom. The meeting was also live streamed by North <br />Metro TV. <br /> <br />COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor D. Love called the meeting to order at 5:02 p.m. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL* <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor D. Love <br />Council Member Steve King <br />Council Member Russ Koski <br />Council Member Michelle Lakso <br />Council Member Darrin Mosher <br />Junior Council Member Danny Peterson (Non-Voting) <br /> <br />ABSENT: None. <br /> <br />STAFF: City Administrator Mark Statz <br /> City Attorney Kurt Glaser <br /> Assistant Administrator Athanasia Lewis <br /> City Clerk Teresa Bender <br /> <br />*Note that “present” is construed to mean that the noted individuals were visibly and audibly <br />present on the videoconference call. <br /> <br />I. ITEMS OF DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1. Retreat/Goal Setting Rescheduling <br /> <br />Due to COVID-related issues, the City Council retreat was rescheduled on March 5, 2022. <br /> <br />2. Snowplow Policy <br /> <br />Administrator Statz noted that he watched the Council meeting, and heard the discussion about <br />snow plowing operations as it pertains to the 1.5 inches of snowfall and the inconsistencies <br />throughout the policy. Discussion ensued about what triggers snow plowing operations. <br />Administrator Statz noted that snow plowing operations are initiated at the sole discretion of the <br />Public Works Director, who determines when and where to plow. The determination is based on <br />multi-forecasts. There was also discussion about normal snow plowing operations being reflected <br />in the snow plowing operations policy. A particular point of interest is ensuring the expectations <br />in public and private plowing operations are the same, so the city’s policy and city code are <br /> <br />
