City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 10, 2021 <br /> <br />be Turned on Mid-November through January with a Follow Up Resolution Coming Before <br />Council in the First Quarter of the Year for Future Years. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator’s/Engineer Report <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that an Administrator Report was contained in the packet and <br />that he would be happy to answer questions that Council may have regarding it. He stated <br />that he forwarded an email to Council regarding an upcoming ground breaking ceremony <br />scheduled for November 23, 2021 for Norbella. He reported that Atlas Villas would be <br />completed in December and that it was anticipated to be open in mid-January. He also <br />reported that the infrastructure installation for Rehbein Commercial is completed and that <br />the mini-storage is waiting on fencing. He stated that residential developments are on the <br />home stretch and it is anticipated that drawing on Letters of Credit will not be needed. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Lakso – <br /> <br />i. Parks and Recreation Committee – Council Member Lakso reported that <br />the Committee a robust discussion regarding equity of parks and <br />improvements. She stated that they discussed the potential of making <br />improvements to the Wheels Park at Laurie LaMotte Park. It was felt that <br />a large amount of kids utilize the park and that research would need to be <br />completed for justification of improvements as they would be very costly. <br />She stated that she was excited for the installation of the new lights for the <br />pleasure rink at LaMotte Park. <br />ii. Anoka County Fire Protection Council – No report was given. <br /> <br />b. Koski – <br /> <br />i. Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski reported that Chief <br />Smith provided a year-end report and stated that calls have increased in <br />2021. He stated that he had the opportunity to meet Mr. Dan Retka and <br />stated that the relationship with SBM is going well. Mayor Love reported <br />that the Committee approved a vehicle take-home policy and that the <br />Centennial Fire District has the highest percentage of filled positions. <br />Mayor Love thanked Council Member Koski for serving as Chair for the <br />year. Council Member Koski stated that he was honored and it was a <br />pleasure to serve as Chair. He stated that he learned a lot and enjoyed the <br />process. <br /> <br />ii. Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski stated that the <br />Commission discussed 2050/2070 Main Street proposal.
