City of Centerville <br />WS & Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 23, 2022 <br />She reviewed the quotes with Council and reported that CivicPlus provided all of the desired <br />features, plus an ÐAPPÑ, that staff felt it was highly user-friendly and progressive. <br />Discussion ensued regarding fees beyond the initial redesign and how the budget would be affected <br />comparative to current fees, the quality of the presentation and background work, mobile <br />application connection to community, concern for transitioning from old site to new site, $12,000 <br />annually for support services, hosting and security, upon year 3-4 a refresh in design, American <br />Rescue Plan Funding qualified expenditure, cost of CivicPlus at $37,000, the necessity of <br />marketing of an ÐAPPÑ if considering, and the suggestion of researching State Contractors for a <br />reduced rate. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Love, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Table the Website <br />Redesign Item to the Following Meeting to Allow Staff Time to Research Whether Service <br />Providers Participated in the State Purchasing Program. <br />Additional discussion occurred regarding the investment of a mobile ÐAPPÑ and the importance <br />of marketing for individuals understanding its availability. <br />Roll call. Council Member King, Koski, Lakso, Mosher & Mayor Love in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br /> X. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />1. AdministratorÓs/Engineer Report Î Administrator Statz stated that his written <br />report was included in the packet and he would be happy to assist with questions. <br />He stated that the Planning & Zoning Commission will display exterior samples (i.e. <br />shingles, fencing, stone facing and siding) for the CentraHomes, Block 7 project <br />prior to their meeting and that the meeting will be posted for a Potential Quorum. <br />He stated that the Commission is responsible for making architectural decisions. He <br />also stated that the Commission held a Public Hearing regarding the proposed Max <br />Storage facility and that it was held over for additional input from the public. He <br />also stated that purchaser of 2050/2070 Main Street has submitted a site plan for <br />review. He reported that the City was in receipt of the XfinityÓs franchise fees and <br />noted that they were down from previous years. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br />a. Lakso - <br /> Parks and Recreation Committee Î Council Member Lakso gave no <br />update but suggested that maybe a Fete des Lacs update should be <br />included in the updates. <br /> Anoka County Fire Protection Council Î Council Member Lakso <br />gave no update. <br /> <br />b. Koski Î He stated that the Centennial Fire was the first on scene at the fire <br />on February 8, 2022 in the City of Blaine Fire, which speaks volumes for <br />our Department. He congratulated the Centerville Lions for another <br />fantastic Fishing Contest. He stated that the event was well attended and <br />thanked the Lions, volunteers, and participants for their efforts. <br />Page 7 of 9 <br /> <br />
