City of Centerville <br />WS & Council Meeting Minutes <br />February 23, 2022 <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member King to Direct Staff to <br />Negotiate Proposals with Architects and Engineers with Engineer Specifications to be <br />Defined for the $250,000 Proposed City Hall Parking Lot and Landscaping Improvements. <br />Council Member King requested clarification of what was included with the landscape portion. <br />Administrator Statz stated that the landscaping portion would include a memorial, exterior building <br />lighting, sidewalk upgrade and sidewalk handrail, etc. Mayor Love clarified that the motion is <br />only to sharpen the pencil on all exterior work proposed and allowing staff to work with architects <br />and engineers for a more detailed bid/estimate. <br />Roll call. Council Member King, Koski, Lakso, Mosher & Mayor Love voted in favor. <br />Motion carried. <br />IX. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />stnd <br />1. Letter of Credit Reduction Request Î Old Mill Estates (1 and 2 Additions) <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that the City has received a request for letter of reduction, stated that <br />there remained several outstanding items, currently the City holds two (2) LOC, that policy states <br />that a LOC cannot be less than five (5) percent of its original amount and staff is recommending <br />to reduce the total LOC to $82,500 on file. <br /> <br />Mayor Love asked about the status of the proposed trail/boardwalk issue. Administrator Statz <br />stated that he had forwarded information to obtain bids from contractors and asked for pricing. He <br />stated that he needed to follow up with them and the homeowner. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the rear yard draintile issue of several residents, homeowners <br />correcting the item on their own as an upgrade to what was installed, no deficiencies were found, <br />and that installation could have been completed more effectively. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Koski to Allow the <br />nd <br />Reduction of the total Letter of Credit for the Old Mill Estates Development (11st and 2 <br />Phases) to an Amount of $85,000. Roll call. Council Member King, Koski, Lakso, Mosher <br />& Mayor Love voted in favor. Motion carried. <br /> 2. Website Update <br />Administrator Statz stated that he would provide for Assistant City Administrator Lewis to share <br />her screen. <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Lewis reviewed a presentation with Council for a website redesign, <br />quotes from three (3) vendors (GovOffice, Revize & CivicPlus), functionality and features as well <br />as transition and redesign have been considered, also ADA requirements, internal evaluations have <br />been completed and the inclusion of an ÐAPPÑ for the City was also quoted. She stated that she <br />met with EDA and the Parks & Recreation Committee to discuss their needs. She also stated that <br />consideration has been given for branding in the future, ensuring flexibility of the vendor for this. <br />Page 6 of 9 <br /> <br />
