City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 9, 2006 <br />Motion by Mayor Capra, seconded by Council Member Lakso, to direct the City <br />Administrator and the City Attorney to make the necessary contract changes and <br />ensure that the contract is written in the best interest of the City and to authorize <br />the Mayor to sign the agreement. All in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />5. Resolution #06-037 – Appointing Election Judges & Interim Deputy Clerk for <br />Upcoming Primary & General Elections <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Lee, to approve <br />Resolution #06-037 – Appointing Election Judges & Interim Deputy Clerk for <br />Upcoming Primary & General Elections. All in favor. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />6. Westview Watermain <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that at the last meeting Council passed a motion to <br />schedule a public hearing for watermain extension on Westview serving two property <br />owners and agreed to have that public hearing if Staff could not reach an agreement for <br />assessment with the affected property owners. Staff received revised pricing and the cost <br />with street repairs comes to about $22,000 so the estimate is around $25,000 and the two <br />property owners have signed off on $8,000 each leaving the City with $10,000 to carry. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson indicated that there may be a possibility later down the road of <br />additional connection fees and the Resolution would authorize moving forward. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Terway to approve <br />Resolution #06-039 – Ordering Improvement and Determining Connection Fee. All <br />in favor. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VIII. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br /> 1. Resolution #06-038 – Awarding Sale of $2,700,000 G.O. Bond <br /> <br /> Finance Director Meyer outlined the bids received with Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lakso, seconded by Council Member Terway, to <br />approve Resolution #06-038 – Awarding Sale of $2,700,000 G.O. Bond. All in favor. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />IX. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br /> <br />1.City Administrator, Mr. Dallas Larson <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson reminded Council of his vacation noting he would be out for <br />two weeks. <br /> <br />Page 7 of 8 <br />
