City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 9, 2006 <br />2. CSAH 14 (Update) <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that there is a log cabin inside (one of the properties to be <br />purchased by Anoka County) of the original house and she will be looking at it along <br />with Todd Mahoney. <br /> <br /> 3. Formation of EDA <br /> <br />Mayor Capra said that with all that is happening in the downtown area she thinks it is <br />time to form an EDA for the City and get that established. <br /> <br />City Administrator Larson said that doing so requires a public hearing to give the public <br />the opportunity to comment and Council would then decide who will comprise the EDA <br />board and Staff would draft a Resolution to set that in Motion. <br /> <br /> 4. Flag Pole at Police Department <br /> <br />Mayor Capra indicated that right now the Police Department is accepting donations to <br />pay for the remaining costs associated with the flag pole, flag, and lighting at the new <br />facility. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar thanked Engineer Statz for the monthly engineering reports and <br />color coded map as it provides updates for the Council and saves time. <br /> <br />Council Member Paar indicated that Park and Rec is interested in grants for communities <br />through Home Depot. <br /> <br />Ms. Stephan indicated that she would obtain further information and provide it to the City <br />Attorney for review and recommendation. <br /> <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Lee, seconded by Council Member Paar to adjourn the <br />August 9, 2006 City Council Meeting at 7:41 p.m. All in favor.
