CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: May 11, 2022 Engineering/Public Works VIII.2 TITLE OF ISSUE: City Hall Campus and Thin Overlay Program Engineering Proposals BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: At a previous work session, the council discussed various capital projects to move forward. There was general consensus on parking lot improvements, including lighting. Campus landscaping improvements were also discussed, but there was some debate about the appropriate scope of that work. The attached proposals would move the parking lot and lighting work forward, and produce some concept sketches with associated budgets for further consideration of landscaping scope. Additionally, staff is recommending an Overlay project for 2022. Attached are scope and fee proposals from the City's engineering consultant for design work related to: - City Hall Parking Lot Resurfacing and Thin Overlay Project for 2022 - City Hall Parking Lot Lighting Improvements - City Hall/Fire Station Landscaping Improvements COST AND SOURCE(S) OF FUNDING: $37,300 - Street Capital Fund; $6,100 General Fund; $5,000 General Fund REQUESTED COUNCIL ACTION: Motion to approve the attached proposals for design work associated with City Hall Campus Improvements and the Thin Overlay program.
