May 5, 2022 <br />Mr. Mark Statz, City Administrator/Engineer <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />Reference: Proposal for Engineering Services - 2022 Thin Overlay/Parking Lot Improvements <br />Task 4 – Completion of a wetland delineation, associated report, and permitting including Rice Creek <br />Watershed District and US Army Corps of Engineers <br />Task 5 – Assistance during bidding, including answering contractor questions, preparing addenda as <br />necessary, and attendance at virtual bid opening. <br />Task 6 – Review of bids and preparation of bid tabulation and bid results letter. <br />Task 7 – Attendance at one City Council meeting to present bid results. <br />Proposed Schedule <br />A potential schedule for these services is as follows: <br />May 11, 2022Authorization to begin feasibility study <br />May 25, 2022Present feasibility study/call for public hearing/order plans <br />June 8, 2022Approve plans/authorize bidding <br />Week of July 11, 2022Open Bids <br />July 27, 2022Council reviews bids/considers award <br />August/September 2022Begin Construction pending Assessment Hearing and Permits <br />The work described above will be performed on an hourly basis with an estimated fee of $37,700 including <br />expenses. This is a not-to-exceed fee without prior authorization. This scope and fee assume that the <br />process will commence from start to finish with no interruption of engineering services. <br />This letter and scope of services represents the understanding between the City of Centerville and Stantec <br />in respect to the Project and may only be modified in writing signed by both parties and is subject to the <br />current Master Services Agreement between the City and Stantec. <br />If this letter satisfactorily sets forth the conditions of our Agreement, please sign in the space below and <br />return one copy.
