City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 27, 2022 <br />Administrator Statz stated that he had noted that the City failed to complete this action last year <br />and that the City was currently being audited this year. He stated that he would provide a review <br />of the presented materials contained in Council’s packet and then Council would open the public <br />hearing to receive public input. <br />Discussion ensued regarding ponds being connected to an overflow which runs either to <br />creeks/streams, curb, ditches, lake(s), etc., ponds, private ponds, funding, obtaining easements <br />over private ponds, mapping, community planning/communication with residents regarding <br />financial responsibilities associated with private ponds, adopt a drain program, public education, <br />audit and consultants, possible financial savings due to the City Administrator also being an <br />Engineer, healthy rain gardens, the City’s proactive actions regarding stormwater/water quality, <br />definition of public versus private and maintenance responsibilities, more private ponds in the <br />Industrial district, etc. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to opening the Public <br />Hearing at 7:13 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Love provide an opportunity for public input. No public was present or provided input. <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Close the <br />Public Hearing at 7:15 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />VI.APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br />1.April 13, 2022 City Council Work Session and Meeting Minutes <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. <br />Mayor Love requested a typographical change on page 10, changing “that” to “thank” regarding <br />the students in the audience. <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member Lakso to Approve the <br />April 13, 2022 City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes with the Requested <br />Modification. Council Member King abstained. Motion carried. <br />VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br />1.City of Centerville Claims through April 27, 2022 (Check #35025-35052) & (1869E- <br />1873E) <br />2.Centennial Lake Police Department Claims through April 21, 2022 (Check #14289- <br />14293), (Check #14296-14305), Payroll (Check #14289-14293) & (E2022028- <br />E2022031) w/Voided E2022015 <br />3.Centennial Fire District Claims through April 26, 2022 (Check #9295-9301) <br />4.Encroachment Agreement – 6871 Beaver Pond Way (Fence) <br />5.Charitable Gambling Permit – Centerville Lions <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. <br />Page 3 of 7 <br /> <br />
