City of Centerville Council Meeting Minutes April 27, 2022 Administrator Statz stated that he had noted that the City failed to complete this action last year and that the City was currently being audited this year. He stated that he would provide a review of the presented materials contained in Council’s packet and then Council would open the public hearing to receive public input. Discussion ensued regarding ponds being connected to an overflow which runs either to creeks/streams, curb, ditches, lake(s), etc., ponds, private ponds, funding, obtaining easements over private ponds, mapping, community planning/communication with residents regarding financial responsibilities associated with private ponds, adopt a drain program, public education, audit and consultants, possible financial savings due to the City Administrator also being an Engineer, healthy rain gardens, the City’s proactive actions regarding stormwater/water quality, definition of public versus private and maintenance responsibilities, more private ponds in the Industrial district, etc. Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to opening the Public Hearing at 7:13 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. Mayor Love provide an opportunity for public input. No public was present or provided input. Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Mosher to Close the Public Hearing at 7:15 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. VI.APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES 1.April 13, 2022 City Council Work Session and Meeting Minutes Mayor Love provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. Mayor Love requested a typographical change on page 10, changing “that” to “thank” regarding the students in the audience. Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member Lakso to Approve the April 13, 2022 City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes with the Requested Modification. Council Member King abstained. Motion carried. VII.
