No injuries reported.
Centennial crews assisted in the large Fleet Farm fire on
February 17, 2022 and assisted the Spring Lake Park, Blaine
and Moundsview (SBM) Fire Department
Centennial Lakes Police Department
Staff has been working on their Annual Report and it is anticipated that it will be submitted to Council shortly.
Reminders
Staff recently forwarded to numerous residents, an educational mailing
regarding the requirements of maintaining an abutting sidewalk. City
Code, §91.06 Public Nuisances Affecting Peace & Safety, The following
are declared to be nuisances affecting public peace and safety: (A) All
snow and ice not removed from public sidewalks 24 hours after the snow
or other precipitation causing the condition has ceased to fall.
The City does have the right to clear
the nuisance on your behalf and bill
you for it. This is not the intent but public safety is the CityÓs utmost con-
cern.

With the goal of promoting public safety, the city is sometimes forced to
clear sidewalks if residents and businesses do not. To avoid incurring
charges for this service, please make sure your walkways are shoveled eve-
ry time is snows. More and more individuals are working at home and uti-
lizing the sidewalk system for a fresh-air break during their working period.
We know that most people do clear their sidewalks; we and others appreci-
ate it very much. Thank you!
If you are ill and unable to complete, contact the City. We may have volunteers that we can pull from to assist
you or ask a neighbor to assist.
Pet Owners
Please remember that your dogs/cats should be on a leash at all times except if in a fenced yard. Please re-
member that the City provides ÐDoggie StationsÑ that provide bags for pet waste disposal throughout the City.
Please do not allow your animal to make deposits along the sidewalks, trails, parks, neighboring property, etc.
without cleaning up after them. The public thanks you!
Republic Services would like to remind
you to not put plastic bags in with your recycling.
The bags do clog the equipment that separates the items and caus-
es breakdowns, limits the speed of separation and is costly.
Options: Local grocery stores and large retail stores offer recycling of these
bags. Your local Goodwill will also accept them as long as they are in
good, re-usable condition.
