Administrator/Engineer’sReport <br />August 24, 2022 <br />ELECTIONS <br />On August 9, 2022, 345 Centerville residents of 2,733 registered at 7 a.m. on Election <br />Day (or almost 13% of voters) voted in the State Primary at St. Genevieve’s <br />Community Parish Center. Election judges registered 9 new voters. <br />Election judges fine-tuned their skills in preparation of the General Election. They <br />are eager to see you at the polls on Election Day. The City is extremely great full for <br />these dedicated individuals, their eagerness to provide services to the public while <br />ensuring secure and fair elections. Thank You! <br />The last day for filing for municipal offices was Tuesday, August 16, 2022: Incumbents D. Love filed for <br />the Mayoral seat (2 year term), Darrin Mosher filed for one (1) of the Council seats and Michelle Lakso filed <br />for the other Council seat. Council seats are a 4 year term. These names will appear on the City’s General <br />Election ballot for Municipal Offices. <br />General Election voting will commence as follows: <br />Absentee – Envelope Process, September 23, 2022 (City Hall, 7:30 – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday) <br />Absentee – Direct Balloting, November 1, 2022 (City Hall, 7:30 – 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, Saturday, <br />November 5, 2022, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.) & Monday, November 7, 2022, 7:30 – 5:00 p.m.) <br />General Election – November 8, 2022 (St. Genevieve’s Community Parish Center, 6995 Centerville Road, <br />7 a.m. – 8 p.m.) <br />MEDALLION WINNER <br />The City is looking for the fourth medallion winner to come forward to claim <br />their $100 prize. The medallion was given out at Public Safety Night <br />(Wednesday, July 13, 2022), St. Genevieve’s Parking Lot. If you are aware of <br />the winner, please have them turn it into City Hall during regular office hours <br />of 7:30 – 4:00, Monday-Friday. The City is allowing the winner to retain the <br />medallion if they chose. <br />ANOKA COUNTY LICENSE CENTERS NEW HOURS – EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 6, 2022 <br />All Anoka County License and Passport <br />Center locations will have new hours. <br />Locations will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 <br />p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, <br />and Fridays. The centers will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays. The change is being implemented <br />to shorten wait times.
