City of Centerville <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />August 10, 2022 <br /> <br />Aid Proposals. He stated that we have been talking about the changes to the LGA formulas. He <br />reviewed the dollars amounts that we had received last year and the amounts that we should receive <br />this year and the upcoming year. He stated without LGA, it will hurt our budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member Mosher to authorize the <br />Mayor to sign the attached letter, expressing the city's support of this initiative from Metro <br />Cities. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. City Hall Campus Landscaping Improvements <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated the last time they discussed City Hall Campus Landscaping <br />Improvements we had a proposal from our engineering/architect design team and Council decided <br />not to go forward with this. Administrator Statz presented and reviewed the drawings that were <br />contained in Council’s packet. He stated that they showed two (2) different designs and estimated <br />costs of each of the projects. <br /> <br />A brief discussion ensued and the consensus was to table this. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member King to Table the <br />soliciting design/building proposals for contractor for City Hall Campus Landscaping <br />Improvements All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> AX. COUNCIL/ADMINISTRATOR ANNOUNCEMENTS <br /> <br />1. Administrator/Engineer Report <br /> <br />Administrator Statz thanked all of the Election Judges for their time and dedication. He stated it <br />was a fair turnout with approximately 350 voters. City Clerk Bender reported that this was a <br />slightly better turnout from previous year. Administrator Statz encourage residents to get out and <br />vote in November for the General Election. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz reported on that they were moving dirt on the Kwik Trip site, American <br />Roofing Supply was paving today and that Amazon had utility crews and grading crews on site. <br />He reported that two (2) parties have shown interest in Block 7. <br /> <br />City Attorney Glaser – Reported that Law Day would be on Friday and that none have been held <br />for the past few years due to COVID. He stated that he does a driver’s license reinstatement clinic <br />and for the audience to get the word out with appointments being taken by his office or City Hall. <br /> <br />2. Council Reports <br /> <br />a. Lakso – <br /> Parks & Recreation – Council Member Lakso gave no report due to her <br />absence. <br /> Anoka County Fire Protection – Council Member Lakso gave no report <br />due to her absence. <br /> <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
