City of Centerville <br />City Council Work Session & Meeting Minutes <br />September 28, 2022 <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. He added Centennial Lakes <br />Police Department and Centennial Fire District’s 2023 Budgets under Items #9 and 10 respectively and <br />Resolution #22-0XX before VIII. Old Business, Item #1. He also corrected 2022 to 2023 stating it was <br />a typographical error on the same item. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member Koski to Approve with the <br />Above Stated Notations. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IV. APPOINTMENTS/PRESENTATIONS <br /> <br />1. Jeff Holmberg – Superintendent, Centennial Public Schools <br /> <br />Superintendent Holmberg addressed the City Council and reviewed the presentation that was contained <br />in Council’s packet. He thanked Council for being a community partner and stated that he valued the <br />relationship that has been had. <br /> <br />Mayor Love thanked Superintendent Holmberg for the presentation and also stated that the City has <br />valued the relationship that is had between them. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the renovations to the elementary school, passing times for high school <br />students, congestions of hallways, security, staff/diversity, recruitment, the possibility of a <br />statue/monument placed at the Elementary School and continued partnering. <br /> <br />V. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />1. None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />1. None. <br /> <br />VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. Administrator Statz <br />requested that Consent Agenda Items #8, #9 and #10 be pulled for discussion. <br /> <br />1.
