<br />Page 4 <br />ASSESSORÓS CORNER <br />2022 Property Review Update: The City Assessors have finished visits to residential properties that <br />were due for a 5-year review. During the next few months, they will be out finishing up reviews of commer- <br />cial, industrial, apartment properties as well as work done on permits issued. <br /> <br />2023 Proposed Property Tax Statements show estimates based on preliminary levies submitted by Anoka <br />County, City of Centerville, Centennial School District, and other taxing authorities. Dates and times are giv- <br />en for upcoming public meetings for each of the taxing authorities, where objections to the levy amounts may <br />be expressed. This notice does not include amounts for waste management fees, special assessments, or school <br />district referenda approved in the fall. More information about these statements can be found online at: https:// <br />www.anokacountymn.gov/273/Records-Taxation-Assessment <br />Resources: For more information about MN Property Taxes visit the MN Department of Revenue <br />online page at: https://www.revenue.state.mn.us/understanding-property-tax <br />UPDATE ON DEVELOPMENTS <br />Both American Roofing Supply and Norbella of Center- <br />ville have opened for business and Kwik Trip is antici- <br />pating a December 29, 2022 opening. <br />The City is looking forward to continued relationships with these companies and hope that you <br />will have an opportunity to utilize their services. <br />MATTRESS/BOX SPRING RECYCLING <br />FREE to Centerville Residents <br />Just as a reminder, the City still collects mattresses and box springs throughout the winter <br />months. If you have one of these items, please contact: 651-792-7940 and arrange an appointment for <br />dropoff. We will accept them the first Tuesday of every month from 8:00 a.m.Ï12:00 p.m. When you con- <br />tact us for an appointment, we will give you directions to the drop off location. The drop off location is in <br />Centerville with traveling distance being minimal. Please be aware that you will be expected to bag your mat- <br />tress/box spring in a provided bag and load into the trailer for storage. If you are alone and you do not believe <br />that you can accomplish this, bring a neighbor to assist you. There is a limit of six (6) items/resident. <br />If the hours of our acceptance do not fit your schedule, Green Lights Recycling/Recycle Technologies also <br />accepts them. There is a coupon within this newsletter for your convenience. <br />Are you aware that at least 90% of your old mattress can be recycled? Foam, cotton and felt from the mat- <br />tress padding can be repurposed into carpet padding, steel from the metal springs can be melted and repur- <br />posed, wood is sent to a chipper and repurposed to landscaping mulch and all of these items can be sold to <br />buyers and repurposed into new goods and products. Bring your items (lamps, <br />coffee makers, clothing, vacuums and much more (no dehumidifiers please). Limit is up to <br />three (3) bankers boxes equivalent of paper per vehicle. No three-ring binders, credit <br />cards or CDs will be accepted. <br />
