City of Centerville <br />EDA Meeting Minutes <br /> September 21, 2022 <br />2. b. Year to Date Financials <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the financial report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />1. c. Ongoing Programs: <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the Ongoing Programs report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />2. d. Administrator’s Report <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the Administrator’s Report as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />VIII. OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Business Appreciation Event <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the item as presented in the packet. <br /> <br />IX. OLD BUSINESS <br />1. Trunk or Treat Event <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the Trunk or Treat event as presented in the packet and the <br />Parks and Recreation Committee Chair was present to answer questions about the event and co- <br />sponsorship logistics. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Mosher, seconded by Commissioner King to donate $300.00 to co- <br />sponsor the trunk or treat event. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />2. Scope of Work for Downtown Redevelopment Study <br />Executive Director Lewis reviewed the proposed scope of work for a downtown redevelopment <br />study as presented, noting the outcome of the study would confirm if mixed use is a viable option <br />for downtown, if so, what metrics are needed, and how to get there from where we presently are. <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Mosher, seconded by President Hanzal to bring the scope of work <br />to the city council to see if they had input for the scope. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />X. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Committee Applications <br />The EDA discussed the EDA candidates. Both candidates interviewed very well. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner King to recommend to council approval of candidate Anthony <br />Smith to fill the EDA vacancy. Motion failed due to no second. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Mosher, seconded by President Hanzal to recommend to council <br />approval of Candidate Chris Swenson to fill the EDA vacancy. Roll call: President Hanzal <br />and Commissioner Mosher Aye, Commissioner King Nay. Motion carried (2/1). <br /> <br />XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> Page 5 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
