Quad Area Chamber of Commerce <br />The Quad Area Chamber of Commerce held a Lunch and Learn with the Royalty and Lino Lakes <br />th <br />Ambassadors sponsors on August 11. At this event, ambassador candidates practiced their speeches and <br />answered interview questions in preparation for coronation. <br /> <br />th <br />The Quad Area Chamber held their first Sip & Learn for Seniors on August 17. Call or stop in to city hall for more <br />information. <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Project Map <br />Staff has prepared a map of all active developments to help everyone get a better picture of what’s <br />happening around our community. The number you see at the heading of each item in this section <br />corresponds to a number on the map, which is attached to the end of this report. <br /> <br />(9) Block 7 Property (Downtown) <br />The City Council will discuss various development offers on the property, including some which intend <br />to build a concept largely similar to the previous proposal from Centra Homes. <br /> <br />Centerville Elementary School Expansion <br />A walk-through with the city’s building inspector identified a few items which needed to be addressed. <br />Progress continues with a goal of being open in time for the start of the school year. <br /> <br />stnd <br />(3)(4) Old Mill Estates 1 and 2 Additions <br />The developer has completed several tasks on the punch list; several still remain. Staff is monitoring <br />progress to ensure completion in 2023. <br /> <br />The homeowner adjacent to the trail on Old Mill Court has begun efforts to move the retaining wall to the <br />edge of the wetland, further from the home. Once complete, city staff will arrange for construction of the <br />trail in short order. <br /> <br />th <br />(16) Centerville Self Storage (20Ave. Centerville Self Storage) <br />The facility is now open for business.
