<br />Administrator’s Report <br />November 9, 2022 <br />____________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br /> <br />ELECTION INFORMATION <br />Absentee - Direct Balloting <br /> November 5, 2022, (City Hall, 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Saturday) <br /> November 7, 2022, (City Hall 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday) <br />General Election <br /> Nov. 8, 2022 (St. Genevieve’s Comm. Parish Center, 6995 Centerville <br />Road, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m.) <br /> <br />If you are new to Centerville, moved within Centerville or changed your name due to marriage or divorce, <br />please register or re-register when voting absentee or at the polls. Call with questions: (651) 792-7933 or <br />Anoka County Elections at: (763) 324-1300. <br /> <br />On Wednesday, November 3, staff/Election Judges assisted 109 voters in the Absentee – Envelope phase <br />of the voting process and released custody of those ballots to Anoka County for running through their <br />counting equipment per State Statute. The same staff/Election Judges have assisted 137 voters in the <br />Absentee – Direct Balloting phase. These results will be modemed to Anoka County on Monday evening <br />following the close of the process at 5 p.m. <br /> <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Halloween Hustle 5K/Trunk or Treat Event <br />The Parks & Recreation Committee/EDA’s first ever event “Trunk or <br />Treat” event was held on October 29, 2022 at the Centerville Elementary <br />School following the Centennial Community Educations Halloween 5K <br />Hustle. The weather was pleasant and some of the Trunks reported over <br />200 kids participated. The Committee and EDA would <br />like to extend their gratitude to all that participated. A <br />special thank goes to those that handed out candy and <br />promotional items: Carbone’s; the Parks & Recreation <br />Committee; Centerville Lions; Cubscout Pack 3065, who <br />brought their inflatable archery; Chef Hot Hands; the Bald <br />Eagle Water Ski Club; J-Mar Builders Home Improvement, <br />LLC, who brought a live chicken; Laurie’s School of Dance; <br />the City of Centerville, for providing a snowplow; M Health <br />Fairview, for providing an ambulance and crew; and the Centennial Fire District <br />for providing a fire engine. <br /> <br />Volunteer Appreciation Event <br />The event took place on October 25, 2022. Volunteers from the Scouts, the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission, Parks & Recreation Committee, City Council, election judges, park monument volunteers, <br />5/8K run volunteers, Music in the Park and the Bald Eagle Water Ski Club were represented by individuals <br />that attended. The Mayor and Council Member Koski attended and spoke with volunteers expressing the <br />city’s appreciation for their donated time and stating that the city is a better place because of them. <br />Volunteers were provided a meal, refreshments and cookies along with the opportunity to network with <br />other volunteers. <br /> <br />
