<br />(18) Max Storage (Fairview Street) <br />A building permit has now been issued for construction of Building #1 of 2. The developers expect their <br />contractor to be on site within a week or so. <br /> <br />(17) Amazon Fulfillment Center <br />Foundation work on the main building is now complete. Site work continues, including pond grading, <br />parking lot construction and small utility installation. <br /> <br />A kick-off meeting for the Corridor Study has been held. The study will prioritize area-wide transportation <br />improvements to address increased traffic from Amazon and surrounding growth. The study will examine <br />st <br />20th Avenue from Birch Street to 80th Avenue, and the intersection of 21 Ave. and Main Street. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />Commercial Water Connection Fee Assistance <br />At the last City Council meeting, the Council voted to extend the program through the end of 2023. The <br />program offers half-priced hook-up charges for businesses hooking to city water. <br /> <br />Wellhead Protection Plan <br />The Minnesota Department of Health held a kick-off meeting with city staff and consultants for the <br />implementation of the city’s Part-2 Wellhead Protection Plan. The group reviewed items in the documents <br />and the timelines associated with various activities. Staff will be following up on the action items over <br />the course of the next few months. <br /> <br />Well #2 Repairs <br />City staff has applied for a reimbursement grant from Xcel Energy for the installation of the Variable <br />Frequency Drive (VFD), used in the repairs for Well #2. <br /> <br />2022 Thin Overlay Program and City Hall Parking Lot Improvements <br />An Assessment Hearing will be scheduled in January to finalize individual assessments for the overlay <br />portions of the project. <br /> <br />City Hall Parking Lot Lighting <br />The City Council reviewed and approved plans for proposed lighting at City Hall. The work would be <br />quoted for construction in the spring of 2023 in an effort to allow time to secure a grant through the <br />Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). <br /> <br />
