City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 9, 2022 <br />families, mentioned the new display niche which recognizes local veterans and thanked Ms. Dorothy <br />Rademacher for the displays. He also desired to give pause and thanks to those that have <br />served/sacrificed and their families for our freedoms. <br /> <br />Ms. Rademacher stated that “988” is for anyone with mental health issues and by pressing “1” following <br />the connection is for veterans. <br /> <br />Council Member Mosher thanked Ms. Rademacher for the ceremony/displays, etc. Council Member <br />Koski asked how do you thank someone who is willing to put their life on the line so that others can <br />enjoy freedoms, thank their families, etc. He stated, thank you to all that serve and have served. <br /> <br />V. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />1. Delinquent Utility, Garbage, and Nuisance Abatement Charges <br /> <br />Administrator Statz stated that on an annual basis the city is allowed by State Statute to assess <br />outstanding/unpaid balances and nuisance abatement charges. He stated that notices of the public hearing <br />were mailed and the meeting was noticed according to law. Mayor Love asked if any affected residents <br />had contacted the city regarding opposition/or contested charges. Administrator Statz stated no. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to open the public hearing <br />at 6:37 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Administrator Statz suggested leaving the hearing open until following the Consent Agenda. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES <br /> <br />1. October 26, 2022 Work Session & City Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity to Council to make modifications if needed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member King to Approve the October <br />26, 2022 Work Session & City Council Meeting Minutes as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VII. CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for others to add or delete any items. <br /> <br />1. City of Centerville Claims through November 9, 2022 (Check #35483-35519), <br />(Check #35520) & (1965E-1969E) <br />2.
