Motion carried. <br />IV.PUBLIC HEARINGS (6:34 PM or shortly thereafter) <br />None <br />V.AWARDS, PRESENTATIONS, APPEARANES <br />None <br />VI.OLD BUSINESS <br />1.Review of Designated No Parking Areas <br />Administrator Statz opened the discussion about designated no parking areas, noting that there is no <br />legal reason the city would need to designate no parking areas. Designated no parking areas are <br />typically adopted as a requirement of state aid highway and county aid highway funding that is <br />available in cities with populations over 5,000. The reason the P&Z is reviewing designated no <br />parking areas is because the city has designated no parking areas in the past; itÓs also timely to <br />review these areas with the recent reconstruction of downtown.
