OLD BUSINESS
1.Ordinance Review – Ord. # 130, Section 130.03 Discharge of Firearms
Assistant Administrator Lewis introduced the item as presented in the packet, noting that the city
attorney recommends tabling this item due to a recent ruling by the US Supreme Court that may
make restricting gun use more difficult. Discussion ensued about tabling the item versus
recommending it to council for further review. The Commission agreed to table the item for now,
but they would like to bring the item back in January or February for further review. The
Commission would like attorney Glaser to incorporate the changes discussed at the November
Commission meeting, and they would also like to discuss litigation risk with attorney Glaser.
