City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />December 6, 2022 <br />This item will be added to the Commission’s Action Item Tracker. <br />Motion by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Kuiper to table the item. All in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br />2.Ordinance Review – Ord. # 156, Section 156, 104 Temporary Dwellings & Structures <br />Assistant Administrator Lewis introduced the item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued <br />about removing tents from the seasonal restriction, removing non-resident verbiage, amending the <br />14-day period language, and adding language when process calls for the for a special use permit. <br />The Commission motioned to hold a public hearing in February. The Commission would like to see <br />a draft of a permit as part of this item. <br />The revised text and permit will be added to the Commission’s Action Item Tracker. <br />Motion by Commissioner Olson, seconded by Commissioner Krueger to call for a public <br />hearing at their meeting in February. All in favor. Motion carried. <br />VII. NEW BUSINESS <br />1.Site Plan Review – Amazon Electric Vehicle Charging Stations <br />Assistant Administrator Lewis introduced the item as presented in the packet. Patrick from Ryan <br />Companies and Chief Matt Montain gave brief presentations, and they were both available to answer <br />questions. Discussion ensued about approving the plan with or without the requested fire <br />suppression equipment. The Commission approved the site plan for the charging stations with two <br />recommendations. <br />Motion by Commissioner Thompson, seconded by Commissioner Kuiper to approve the site <br />plan with the recommendations outlined in the memo from the fire department, and a <br />recommendation that city council work with Amazon on the fire suppression equipment. All <br />in favor. Motion carried. <br />2.2023 Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Calendar <br />Assistant Administrator Lewis introduced the item as presented in the packet. Discussion ensued <br />about the 2023 meeting schedule and the following changes were made: <br />th <br />January meeting will be held on the 17 <br />th <br />March meeting will be held on the 14 <br />th <br />July meeting will be held on the 10 <br />th <br />August meeting will be held on the 8 <br />Motion by Chair Kubat, seconded by Commissioner Thompson motioned to accept the noted <br />meeting schedule changes in 2023.
