<br />Committee Member Brian Peterson introduced his friend and neighbor, Mr. Paul Lundh, who was <br />observing the meeting and may be a potential committee member. <br /> <br />IV. PUBLIC HEARINGS – NONE <br /> <br />V. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Volunteer Appreciation Event <br /> <br />The event has been scheduled for October 25 at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Church of St. <br />Genevieve in the front room. A sample invitation was reviewed and appropriate changes were <br />made. The list of volunteers is being compiled, with approximately 75 individuals who will be <br />forwarded invitations shortly or sent via email. Committee members should arrive by 6:00 p.m. <br />to assist with setup. <br /> <br />2. Skate/Sled Nights <br /> <br />The events have been scheduled for Saturday, January 14 and Friday, February 10 with both events <br />running from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, weather permitting. Committee Member Seeley will contact <br />Wargo Nature Center to inquire about the availability of snowshoes, kick sleds and fat tire bikes <br />for both events. A bonfire along with free popcorn, s’mores and hot chocolate will be provided. <br /> <br />Committee members reviewed the proposed flyer and decided to include a sledding contest. The <br />11 x 17 size is suggested for the Kiosk. The remaining marketing, including the city website, <br />Facebook, Twitter, schools, Church Bulletins, Administrators Report, local business and day cares <br />and the electronic sign at City Hall, etc., should be started at the end of December or early January. <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Seeley to <br />recommend to Council to expend up to $600 for expenses associated with the events. All in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1. Trail/Sidewalk Discussion <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding Mr. Hart’s presentation regarding pedestrian and bicycle safety at the <br />rdth <br />intersection of 73 Street and 20 Avenue with the understanding that the City will have input in <br />the future planning for the roadway with the County. <br /> <br />2. Permit Application – Use of Laurie LaMotte Park <br /> <br />A Park Facility Permit Application was received, dated September 22, from Ms. Claire Olson for <br />the use of the picnic shelter at Laurie LaMotte Memorial Park on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from <br />9:00 am to 3:00 pm to launch a campaign volunteer event. <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Errickson- <br /> <br />
