Special Event Permit Application – City Trails <br /> <br />A Special Event Permit Application was received Ms. Cori Sendle, ISD 12 Community Education, <br />for the Halloween Hustle 5K Run scheduled for October 29, 2022, from 9:00 am to noon. The run <br />begins and ends at the school and utilizes trails within the City and Anoka County. A permit has <br />been submitted to and approved by Anoka County. <br /> <br />Motion made by Committee Member Peterson, seconded by Committee Member Kubat to <br />recommend to Council approval of the request. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />4. Business Outreach for Support of P & R Events and Activities <br /> <br />This item was placed on the agenda through a request of the sub-committee for the Trunk or Treat <br />Event scheduled in conjunction with the Halloween Hustle 5K Run. An email was forwarded to <br />local businesses regarding their participation and no responses have been received. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding visiting local businesses, requesting financial support/participation <br />and volunteering at the event. Discussion also took place regarding promotion by the Quad Area <br />Chamber of Commerce. <br /> <br />VII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />1. None <br /> <br />VIII. ANNOUNCEMENTS/UPDATES <br /> <br />1. Staff Updates <br /> <br />City Website – the new website went live on October 4; the app should be live within two weeks <br />due to additional programming. Halloween 5K Hustle, Trunk & Treat Update <br /> <br />Discussion as to the number of vehicles to be available for the Trunk and Treat event, decorating <br />them, and the use of a city truck also for handing out treats, etc. <br /> <br /> <br />IX.
