CITY OF CENTERVILLE REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION Agenda Item # Department: Requested Council Meeting Date: February 8, 2023 Administration/Engineering VIII.3 TITLE OF ISSUE: Resolution #23-0XX Adopting the Assessment Roll for the 2022 Thin Overlay Project BACKGROUND AND SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: At their last meeting, the City Council tabled the adoption of the assessment roll due to some uncertainty regarding the amount of the assessments as detailed in the mailed notices to residents. This uncertainty has been cleared up. The mailed notices, correctly showed the proposed assessments, matching those in the assessment roll. The council should now consider adopting the assessment roll for the project. The attached resolution details payment terms. The council may consider lowering, but not raising assessments, from those proposed and may adjust interest rates or the length of repayment to be more favorable to residents.
