City of Centerville <br />Planning and Zoning Commission <br />January 17, 2023 <br /> <br />Administrator Statz introduced this item and reviewed next steps to fill the vacancy. Chair Kubat <br />and other members of the Commission thanked Gloria for her service. <br /> <br />Motion by Chair Kubat, seconded by Commissioner Thompson to accept Commissioner <br />Semmelink’s resignation and declare a vacancy on the Commission. All in favor. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />2. Easement Vacation – 1844 Old Mill Court <br /> <br />Administrator Statz introduced this item prior to the public hearing being held and no other <br />discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner Kuiper to vacate the current <br />easement and replace it with the proposed easement. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />VIII. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />1. December 6, 2022 Planning & Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />There were no amendments to the minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Chair Kubat, seconded by Commissioner Kuiper to approve the December 6, <br />2022 Planning and Zoning Commission minutes as presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />IX. Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />1. Council Member Liaison <br /> <br />Councilmember Koski reported that there was a fire steering committee meeting. He also expressed <br />his appreciation of former councilmember Lakso and her years of service on the city council. <br /> <br />2. Administrator’s Report <br /> <br />Administrator Statz reviewed the report as presented in the packet, adding that we have an opening <br />on the Planning & Zoning Commission, Parks and Recreation Committee, and on City Council. <br />Administrator Statz also reported that Tony Smith has filled the EDA vacancy, a downtown market <br />study has been approved, and the owners of Kelly’s Korner are interested in redevelopment. <br /> <br />3. Planning and Zoning Action Items Tracker <br /> <br />Administrator Statz reviewed the Planning and Zoning Action Items Tracking sheet, noting updates <br />where needed. <br /> <br />X. ADJOURNMENT <br />Motion by Commissioner Olson, seconded by Commissioner Krueger to adjourn the meeting <br />at 8:21 p.m. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />
