(17) Amazon Fulfillment Center <br />The building shell is now up, including the roof trusses and superstructure for the van loading area canopy. <br />Site work will continue in the spring.Interior work on the building continues. <br />st <br />Work on the 21 Avenue Floodway Impacts study is now complete. Results of the modeling work will be <br />submitted to FEMA in the next week or so. The study will supply required documentation to the Federal <br />st <br />Emergency Management Administration (FEMA), to demonstrate that the culvert placed under 21 Avenue <br />with the Distribution Alternatives project did not affect the flood elevation in the area. Once complete, the <br />study and resulting paperwork will clear the way for AmazonÓs Flood-fringe excavations. <br />Development Inquiries <br />None <br />PUBLIC WORKS <br />Commercial Water Connection Fee Assistance <br />At the last City Council meeting, the Council voted to extend the program through the end of 2023. The <br />program offers half-priced hook-up charges for businesses hooking to city water. <br />th <br />20 Avenue (CSAH 54) Corridor Study <br />The latest progress meeting for the Corridor Study was held on February 13. Stakeholders were shown <br />concept maps, laying out potential intersection treatments, access modifications, street cross sections, speed <br />limits, and pedestrian routes. <br />Next, the team will be reaching out to key area land and business owners along the corridor to gain their <br />perspectives on various alternatives. Following those meetings, the concept layouts will be adjusted and <br />readied for a broader public input phase. <br />st <br />The study is examining 20th Avenue from Birch Street to 80th Avenue, and the intersection of 21 Ave. and <br />Main Street, aimed at identifying improvements needed in the short and long-term to accommodate regional <br />growth. <br />Wellhead Protection Plan <br />The Minnesota Department of Health held a kick-off meeting with city staff and consultants for the <br />implementation of the cityÓs Part-2 Wellhead Protection Plan. The group reviewed items in the documents <br />and the timelines associated with various activities. Staff will be following up on the action items over the <br />course of the next few months. <br />City staff recently completed final paperwork and receive reimbursement from the Department of Health <br />associated with a grand for sealing of a well in the downtown at no cost to the city or resident. With the <br />completion of this grant, the city can now apply for other grants related to the Wellhead protection plan. <br />2022 Thin Overlay Program and City Hall Parking Lot Improvements <br />Assessment invoices have now been mailed to all affected property owners. The invoices contain information <br />on prepayment options, interest and an amortization schedule.
