<br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />PROMOTE SHOVEL READINESS <br />The EDA is working closely with the city engineer and realtor to analysis sites needs for shovel <br />readiness. <br /> <br />Goal 3. Increase Business Engagement <br /> <br />Business Appreciation <br />The EDA held their annual Business Appreciation dinner late last year <br />and they were able to connect with local business owners, provide <br />resources, and assess upcoming business needs at this event. Members <br />from partner agencies were in attendance and gave presentations. <br /> <br />Several Ground Breakings, and Ribbon Cuttings were held over this past <br />year and members of the EDA, City, and Chamber of Commerce attended <br />the following events: <br /> <br /> Centerville Storage <br /> NorBella Senior Living <br /> Kwik Trip <br /> <br />Outreach <br />Over the last year, the EDA has increased their outreach efforts by sending more emails via the <br />email blast, conducting informal business retention and expansion (BRE) visits, and promoting <br />businesses at annual festivals and events like Fete des Lacs. <br /> <br />Goal 4. Market and <br />Promote our City <br /> <br />Establish Prominent Website & Social <br />Media Presence <br /> <br />4§¤ ¢¨³¸Ȍ² ­¤¶ ¶¤¡²¨³¤  ­£ ¬®¡¨«¤  ¯¯ « ´­¢§¤£ ¨­ <br />the last year, and the EDA is working with staff to <br />increase outreach on these platforms. Ideas for <br />content including expanding the business directory <br />and property listings. <br />The EDA continues to strengthen relationships with agency partners: DEED, HBA, Quad Area <br />Chamber, and ACRED, etc. <br />The EDA continues investments in Main Street beautification and promotional items as well. <br /> <br />Goal 5.
