<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Goal 1: Guide Redevelopment <br />Leverage Revitalization Grants <br />The Centerville Economic Development <br />Authority (EDA) has identified potential <br />funding sources to leverage revitalization <br />grants. A couple of options are: <br /> <br />Housing and Redevelopment <br />Authority (HRA) funds available <br />through Anoka County <br /> <br />General Fund dollars to provide a <br />match for the Livable Communities <br />Grant Program, offered through the <br />Metropolitan Council <br /> <br />Predevelopment grant dollars (no match required), offered through Anoka County <br />P ROVIDE B USINESSES INCENTIVES <br /> <br />The EDA offers a variety of programs that promote local businesses. A few of these programs are: <br />"«´¤ ,®¦® )­³¤±²³ ³¤ 0±®¦± ¬ ȟ ³§¤ %$! ¯ ±³icipates in a cost/share to help owners <br />recover some of the costs of advertising on interstate signs <br /> <br />2¤µ®«µ¨­¦ ,® ­  ­£ '± ­³ & Ê £¤ 0±®¦± ¬ ȟ the EDA offers a 1:1 matching grant in an <br />amount up to $10,000 for eligible expenses that enhance the exterior of the building. The <br />EDA also provides a 1:1 match on a low interest low in an amount of $20,000 at 2% <br />annually. <br />#¤­³¤± 3³ ¦¤ ȟ ³§¤ %$! ¢®µ¤±² ³§¤ ¢®²³ ®¥   ¯±omotional ad for inclusion in the Quad Press <br />newspaper; the program includes digital marketing as well via social media and Youtube. <br />D EVELOP B USINESS I NCENTIVES T OOLKIT(TIF,T AX A BATEMENT, ETC.) <br />The EDA is exploring business and development incentives for inclusion in an expanded toolkit. <br />Streetscaping, Parking, etc. Infrastructure Investment <br />In this last year, the EDA increased their investment in streetscaping/beautification projects that add curb <br />appeal. The led lights that were hung on the roof at city hall and the tree in front of city hall, as well as the <br />wreaths hung from the light poles along Main Street reflect the boardÔs commitment to at promote Centerville <br />to residents and visitors alike. <br /> <br />Prioritize Sites for Investment <br />The EDA has prioritized the following three sites, based on the level of inquiries from developers: <br /> <br />
