<br />2 <br />1737 Main Street <br />Block 7 <br />Site north of Norbella Senior Living <br /> <br />The board is in the process of expanding their business toolkit to include development incentives, or at least <br />recommend them to city council for further consideration. <br />Gauge Property Owner Interest in Redevelopment <br />In 2022, the EDA sent a letter to residents in the M1 and M2 residential districts to gauge their interest in <br />talking with prospective developers. The intent of the letter is to connect residents interested in working with <br />developers on potential projects in downtown Centerville. <br /> <br /> <br />Goal 2. Spur New <br />Development <br /> <br />I NTENTIONAL O UTREACH <br />Over the last year, the EDA has engaged with attended <br />regional networking events to meet potential prospects <br />and talk about available land. <br />E NGAGE P ROPERTY OWNERS <br />Last year the EDA sent a letter to residents in downtown <br />Centerville, inquiring about their interest in talking with potential developers interested development projects <br />in the area. <br />A SSIST WITH MARKET STUDIES <br />Over the last year, the EDA developed a scope of work for the downtown redevelopment market study that <br />is currently underway in Centerville. The purpose of the study is to understand if mixed-use development is a <br />viable option for downtown. If so, the EDA would like to know how implementation would happen. If no, the <br />EDA seeks to understand what viable development looks like in the area. <br />PROMOTE SHOVEL READINESS <br />The EDA has is working closely with the city engineer and realtor to analysis site needs. <br /> <br />Goal 3. Increase Business Engagement <br /> <br />Business Appreciation <br />The EDA held their annual Business Appreciation dinner late last year <br />and they were able to connect with local business owners, provide <br />resources, and assess upcoming business needs at this meeting. <br />Presentations were given by representatives from partner agencies. <br />Several Ground Breakings, and Ribbon Cuttings were held over this past <br />year and members of the EDA, City, and Chamber of Commerce were in <br />attendance. <br /> <br />
