VACANT COUNCIL SEAT FILLED <br />At the March 8, 2023 City Council meeting, Dr. Raye Taylor, DVM was appointed to fill the vacant seat on <br />the baord. Ms. Taylor brings a wealth of experience on various boards realted to her profession as a <br />veteranarian. Council thanked all of the well-qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds and experience <br />for putting their names forward. Ms. Taylor will be sworn in at the March 22, 2023 City Council meeting and <br />will serve until the first Monday of 2025. The November, 2024 election will include a Special Election where <br />the remaining two (2) years of the term will be vied for. <br />PARKS AND RECREATION <br />Annual Fete des Lacs Logo Contest <br />The Centennial Middle & Elementary Schools have <br />received their entry forms and contest details for the <br />annual Fete des Lacs Logo Contest. You may also <br />pick up a form at City or find one on the website. <br />Entry ages are grades K-5 and grades 6-8. First <br />prize will land the lucky artists $100, second prize <br />is $50 and honorable mention is $25. Prizes will be <br />given both at the Middle and <br />Elementary School levels. <br />The deadline for entries is <br />May 3, 2023. The Fete des Lacs theme this year is a “Blast from the Past”. If you are <br />interested in entering the contest, visit the City’s website “News & Announcements” <br />section or utilize the QR Code to the left for more information. We want to thank <br />Coordinator Lonni Olson for all of her hard work associated with this contest. Several <br />member of the committee will be serving on the judging panel along with Ms. Olson. <br />Main Street Market <br />Registration and coordination continue for the planning of this year’s market. We have <br />completed applications for the following vendors: Carbone’s, Gray Duck Concessions, <br />Backyard Flower Farm, Kona Ice of Stillwater, the Wolf’s Den, Gifts & Cards by Patti, <br />KCM Egg Rolls, Perry Family Farms, The Goodside Company, JFM Upcycling & <br />Rehbein Transit. Please <br />remember that the above stated vendors have chosen their dates to appear and may not <br />be at all of the events. <br />Themed evenings will be: <br />July 13 – Fete des Lacs <br />July 20 – Ladies Night <br />August 3 – Kids Night (Bounce House, Face Painter, PD, FD & Activities for Kids – all FREE) <br />August 10 – Pet Night <br />The Committee is committed to making this event larger every year, so if you know of anyone or yourself <br />who may be an artisans/crafters, farmers, cottage food & prepared food vendor or entrepreneur, please share <br />this information. <br />Annual Park Cleanup <br />The City needs volunteers for this event! The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2023 with a rain date <br />of May 6, 2023. The Committee will meet at City Hall at 9 a.m. Please join them! Eagle Park needs additional <br /> <br />
