March 15, 2023 Centerville City Council 1880Main Street Centerville MN, 55038 Via Personal Delivery to City Staff RE: Resignation of Commissioner Kubat from the Centerville Planning and Zoning Commission Dear Mayor Love and Council, I regret to inform you that effective as of the date of this letter, I am resigning my position on the Centerville Planning and Zoning Commission. As I have discussed with some of you over the previous weeks, I have been considering positionswhich have presented themselves in my professional communityand have been at a bit of a crossroads with where to dedicate the limited time I have outside of my family and full-timejob. I have given this some thought and have decided that it is time for me to take a step back from my work with the city of Centervilleand focus my efforts on other opportunitiesfor the foreseeable future. I want to thank you all for the opportunity to serve over the past few years as a still relatively new resident of our small town in a big city. I understand that it can be challenging to fill a chair position, paritculary on a commission which already has a vacancy, however I have the utmost confidence in any of the five remaining commissioners who chose to take the gavel next. Although the bench isn’t particularly deep on P&Z right now, no one can doubt the quality ofthose currently serving. I know that the commission will be in great hands for years to come. I wish you all the best in your continued service to the community. Small town government service is a calling and a passion not a profession, and I respect each of your decisions to answer that call. I will continue to be an engaged resident and constituenton the issues I see most important to the future of this community where my family plans to build lifelong roots.
