Resignation of Commissioner Kubat and Declaring a Vacancy on the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission <br /> <br />Mayor Love provided an opportunity for members to pull items for additional discussion. <br /> <br />Council Member Koski asked for Items #7, 9 and 11 pulled for comment. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Mosher, seconded by Council Member King to Approve Consent <br />Agenda Items #1-8, & #10, as Presented. All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda Item #7 - Council Member Koski thanked the Quad Area Chamber of Commerce for <br />organizing the event and staff. He stated that he felt it was a great event. <br /> <br />Mr. Benjamin Hamill, Assessment Compliance Manager - Anoka County Property Records & Taxation <br />Division, requested that the Board complete a form that states that the Board is trained, has a quorum and <br />agreed to recess to April 26, 2023. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda Item #9 - Council Member Koski thank you to the Parks & Recreation Committee and <br />staff for securing the grants that will be utilized by the public for use in the City’s parks. Mayor Love <br />asked if the drinking fountains needed to remove the fountains again due to vandalism would the grant <br />need to be paid back. Administrator Statz stated that the fountains were located in an area that was not <br />visible and not made for outdoor use. Mayor Love asked what was being approved this evening and <br />Administrator Statz stated just the acceptance of the grants and not expenditures associated or remaining <br />in excess of the grant dollars and that will be discussed at a later date at the Parks & Recreation Committee <br />with a recommendation for purchase being forwarded to Council for approval. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda Item #11 – Council Member Koski stated that at the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />meeting of April 4, 2023 the Commission accepted the resignation of Commissioner David Kubat and <br />stated that the Commission has two (2) vacancies again wanted to thank Mr. David Kubat for his service <br />on the Planning & Zoning Commission and encouraged applications. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Koski, seconded by Council Member King to Approve Consent <br />Agenda Items #7, #9 & #11 as presented.
