Click here for more info, or to apply: https://www.centennialfire.org/services-2. <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />Block 7 Property(Downtown) <br />th <br />Two developers made presentations to the Planning and Zoning Commission at their July 10meeting. <br />Lennar <br />Lennar, anational home builder,presented some conceptual sketches of various townhome layouts for Block <br />7, with a variety of products (home styles). The proposal is similar to previous proposals, in terms of layout <br />and density. The architecture of the homesdid not appear to meet the intent of the downtown master plan. <br />However, the builder expressed interest in exploring changes and sited aproject in the city of Anoka, where <br />they had altered their facades in order to comply with downtown specifications. <br />Since the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, Lennar has let city staff know that they wish to allow <br />the other proposal to play out ahead of them as they push pause on the project for the moment. <br />Kennedy Property Development <br />Kennedy Property Development(KPD)alsopresenteda concept plan to the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission, featuring a 37-unit apartment building with underground parkingon the site. A rendering of <br />the proposed building showed elements of French Architecture, incorporatedby the designerto align with <br />the city’s downtown master plan. The building would feature market rate units in a variety of sizes (studio, <br />1, 2 & 3 bedroom). <br />Representatives from KPDhave been in contact with city staff and are interestedin furthering their due <br />diligence on the potential project. <br />Both proposals will be discussed at the Council Work Session on July 26 at 5:00 PM. That meeting is open <br />to the public. <br />7087 Centerville Road (former Chef Hot Hands Building) (Block 8) <br />The City Council approved an Interim Use Permit for the commercial building at 7087 Centerville Road to <br />operate a salon. As part of the requirements for the building the parking lot behind the building was to be <br />paved. This work is done, with a few details left to go like fencing and minor landscaping. Additional work <br />inside the building has already begun and will finish within a few months. The business is scheduled to <br /> <br />
