City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />May 24, 2023 <br /> <br />b. Koski – Council Member Koski stated that the AA+ rating was honorable and shows that the <br />Council and staff have been fiscally responsible and thanked staff and Council for their diligence. <br />He also thanked the Scouts and the Centerville Lions for cleanup up along Main Street recently. <br />He stated the importance of being prepared for emergencies and thanked Chief Mork, Battalion <br />Chief Montain and Sergeant Goetzke for the information that was provided earlier in the Work <br />Session. <br /> Planning & Zoning Commission – Council Member Koski gave no report. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member Koski gave no report. <br /> <br />c. King - <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member King reported that board <br />discussion their budget, population 5,000 being a part of the downtown redevelopment, <br />and welcomed Center Market, Humble Roots and the Boutique across the street. <br /> Fire Steering Committee – Council Member King gave no report. <br /> Anoka County Fire Protection Council – Council Member King gave no report. <br /> <br />d. Mosher – <br /> Economic Development Authority – Council Member Mosher budgeting process and <br />Opportunity Fund turned into Money Market. <br /> Police Governing Board – Council Member Mosher <br /> <br />e. Love – Mayor Love provided information regarding Anoka County Homebuyers and <br />Rehabilitation program from the Administrator’s report. He congratulated Rowan Shaw as he <br />recently had an article in the paper regarding the Jr. Council Member position and stated that it <br />was a nice interview and that the position has added to the community. Mayor Love stated that <br />he was absent from the previous meeting as he was representing the city at the National League <br />of Cities conference where he provided a Leadership presentation. He reported that the <br />Centerville artwork had been given to the League of MN Cities where it would be displayed and <br />highlight the City of Centerville for the next year or two before being returned to the city. He <br />congratulated Mr. Dave Unmacht on his retirement from the League as their Executive Director <br />along with the appointment of Mr. Luke Fischer for his appointment as the new Director. He <br />stated that he would be recognizing the Fete des Lacs Logo contest winners shortly by appearing <br />at their respective schools and congratulating them in front of their peers. <br /> <br /> North Metro Telecommunications Commission – Mayor Love gave no report. <br /> Police Governing Board – Mayor Love gave no report. <br /> Other Mayoral Reports - Mayor Love gave no report. <br /> <br />XI. ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Taylor, seconded by Council Member King to Adjourn the Regularly <br />Scheduled Council Meeting of May 24, 2023 at 8:39 p.m. All in favor.
