City of Centerville <br />City Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 14, 2023 <br />She spoke about local government aid to the cities and how it was revised. She stated that Centerville <br />will receive an increase of $25,315 in 2024. <br /> <br />Senator Gustafson stated that she worked on the Public Safety bill. Centerville is to receive $171,000 for <br />public safety and stated the importance of allowing cities to control the use of these funds. She <br />commented on community crime prevention programs that allows those without law enforcement <br />backgrounds an opportunity to enter law enforcement. <br /> <br />V. CFD Station 3 Renovation Proposal <br /> <br />Assistant Chief Montain stated that the fire department is requesting permission to remodel their offices <br />and meeting space at Station 3. Since the last remodel, staffing logistic have changed and the need for <br />training space is now more important than office space.
